Radio, Podcast & Voiceover

I have done a varied amount of radio, podcast and voiceover work, both live and pre-recorded.

I have a strong, controlled on-air voice, which I have honed over multiple years of voiceover, radio, and presentation work for publications, community radio stations, and blogs.

I have written and delivered podcasts, video pieces, live video news reports and bulletins.

Mancunian Matters (2025)

Role: Journalist, Writer, Voiceover, News Reporting

I have created multiple pieces for Mancunian Matters, where I have written and structured news pieces, and longer form podcast features.

I scripted, recorded and edited these pieces, drawing on my ten years experience in audio production and editing.

Stabbed Panda – Listen To This (2019-2023)

Role: Writer, Researcher, Producer, Voiceover Artist

‘Listen To This’ was a feature I developed for Cambridge-based music blog Stabbed Panda, which I wrote, researched and voiced.

Though tongue-and-cheek in nature, the show required in-depth research, high quality voiceover work, and tight delivery to deadlines.

Fairfax & The Cat – Radio Show (2015-2018)

Role: Co-Host, Voiceover Artist, Writer, Researcher, Producer

I co-hosted a weekly comedy radio show called Fairfax & The Cat on MMG’s Fuse Fm.

Each week me and my co-host Dan Catley would choose songs and a topic from a theme assigned by a random word generator. This meant we could be curating a show about anything from lemons, to death, to sharks, or simply the word ‘ground’. Some weeks were more challenging than others; how many songs do you know about the word ‘scan’?

It was slightly organised chaos, but we did get nominated for presenters of the year and music show of the year at the Manchester Media Group Awards. We didn’t win.

In all seriousness though, this show and its production taught me a lot about how to plan, execute and record a funny, audience friendly live show to a regular deadline – and to react quickly to changing circumstances.
